This course is an introductory course only and does not qualify you as a Mental Health First Aider. It does, however, let you understand the role and provide assistance to a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
This course aims to provide you with an introduction into the role of a Mental Health First Aider. You'll gain knowledge and skills that will help you support an officially qualified Mental Health First Aider in their mission to spread awareness, understanding, and compassion in mental health care. So come join us and make a difference!
You will learn:
- What mental health is, why people develop mental health conditions and the role of a First Aider for Mental Health
- How to offer appropriate information and practical support to a person presenting with poor mental health
- How to recognise and manage stress
- How to recognise a range of mental health conditions and behaviours

The minimum self-study time = 4.5-hours
Each learner has a maximum of 30 minutes with a facilitator to complete a verbal 1-to-1 assessment via Zoom.
Individual Learners (One-to-One)
One-to-One learners have four weeks from the date of purchase to contact us and schedule two 1 hour LIVE Zoom guided learning sessions and a 30-minute assessment. The sessions and assessment must be scheduled within a two-week time frame.
Group Bookings
If you are part of a workplace in-house group these will have been arranged for you and you will attend the sessions with your colleagues.
