Award in First Aid for Mental Health - Level 2

£300 inclusive of VAT


This online course covers the content of the Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported in the workplace. 

You do not need to do the Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health in order to do the Award in First Aid for Mental Health.

You will learn:

  • What mental health is, why people develop mental health conditions and the role of a First Aider for Mental Health
  • How to provide support and start a conversation with someone experiencing poor mental health
  • How to recognise and manage stress
  • How to recognise a range of mental health conditions and behaviours
  • The impact of substance abuse on mental health
  • The First Aid Action Plan for mental health and how to put one in place
  • How to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace

The minimum self-study time = 6-hours

Individual learners have 3-months from the date of purchase to contact us and arrange 2 x 1.5-hour LIVE Zoom guided learning sessions (a total time of 3-hours) and a 45-minute assessment with one of our facilitators.  The sessions and assessment need to be done within a 3-week period. 

If you are part of a workplace in-house group these will have been arranged for you and you will attend the sessions with your colleagues.
