Hi, I am Lois Wooffitt. I work for Christians Against Poverty as an Area Manager based in Yorkshire. A large part of my role is supporting a team of frontline workers who support clients struggle with unmanageable debt or unemployment. According to our most recent client report 81% said debt affected their mental health, 50% of our clients considering suicide as a way out. I personally feel the need for training in this area has never been greater both within my work context and personal. My hope is that this course will equip me to better support my colleagues and the people they are helping.
