Hello everyone. My name is Clare and I work with Skills Development Scotland as an Evidence and Impact Executive, which basically means I work with colleagues to look at data & evidence on the labour market and economy to provide information to colleagues and partners on the future jobs, what skills will be and are needed in the labour market and where in Scotland these things are happening.
I have worked in careers / employability, community regeneration and social enterprise for a good while now (londer than I care to remember!) and really enjoy helping to create positive change.
I am keen to enhance my knowledge and skills in this area as I appreciate how important good mental health is to everyone including people around me oncluding co-workers, friends and family. I hope that the training will enable me to have more meaningful conversations around the topic of mental health and give me confidence in having these conversations.
I am excited and hopeful about the training and really looking forward to learning more! 😊

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I work as a Post School Careers Adviser for Skills Development Scotland. I work mostly with those furthest removed from the labour market, many of whom have poor Mental Health. I also work in a School for those who have been persistent non attenders at a Mainstream School. Again, many of these young people suffer from low Mental Health. I really hope this training will help equip me with the skills to better support the young people I work with. As an organisation, we are going through a lot of change. Many of my colleagues have found the change difficult. I hope this training will allow me to support them where necessary and to have confidence in any conversations I may have regarding mental health with all those around me both professionally and personally.
