My name is Maureen Burke and I work as a debt coach with Christians Against Poverty and as a community worker within a local church. My initial working background was in psychiatric nursing - I trained at the age of 18yrs and worked post qualification in a hospital setting for around 2years. Since then (30+years) I have worked in a variety of social care & community based settings and have a broad experience of supporting people with issues such as addiction, homelessness, debt. I am interested in using this course to refresh/update my practice and to think through how I can better support people in the community where I work - especially at this time of stress und uncertainty which is impacting people across all sectors
