Hi, I'm Darren Bullen and I work as an Area Manager for Christians Against Poverty (CAP) as an Area Manager based in East of England covering the counties of Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Bedfordshire. I support a large team of Managers and Coaches who run our debt centres, job clubs and lifeskills group services - in turn they support clients and members who struggle with debt, unemployment and the helpful skills they need to successfully navigate life.

It seems that almost everyone that these managers and coaches are supporting and coming into contact with in their CAP roles (on a daily basis), are experiencing struggles and difficulties which can lead to poor wellbeing and mental health. I support them as they support their clients and members and with no previous experience or training in these areas, I believe that training in this area is essential. My hope is that this course will be able to provide such training to equip and help me to better support others.
